Thanks! Believe me, plenty of us were worried for that very reason. I do wish we had managed to give an update of some sort before this, though, or even come to a decision earlier. Saying that, though, I want to be clear that this is not at all the fault of our new Elections Officer — jennyst has been doing stellar work — but we overall as a Board failed to support her adequately in being more timely with responses and moving discussions/decisions along faster: she can't push us all by herself. We should have remained more aware of people's need to at least know what was up on this issue, and planned for communication to happen at regular and timely intervals.

For that, I want to apologize for my part in the collective delay and silence. But I'm definitely glad to have the decision and post now, and glad to hear your thoughts on it!
